The 18 hole Boavista Golf Course which was opened in 2001 and lies to just to the west of the town of Lagos. The course design was by Howard Swan and he has created a course that gives the impression that it has always existed by preserving and integrating the gentle slopes of the natural terrain. The fairways are lined with umbrella pines, almond, fig, palm and olive trees, and weaving their way between the water hazards and strategically located bunkers.
